Supporting Transitional Awareness and Reconciliation Techniques (START) project is funded by Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL) and implemented from May 2013 to April 2016. The Project empowered LCSOs to establish local reconciliation mechanisms in their communities and composed from two main component. The first component was to form local committees to collect the grievances in the targeted governorates, then holding community reconciliation. The second component was to establish record of grievances and abuses that happened to civilians in different governorates regarding the indiscriminate attacks of the air strikes, and the children recruitment. 15 Community Facilitators (CFs) trained in Conflict Resolution Transitional Justice and Reconciliation, list of Reconciliation grievances identified, 5 Reconciliation Committees (RCs) established from Ibb, Lahj, Taiz, Aden and Abyan and trained on effective community engagement, 13 CFs trained in Monitoring and Documenting Human Rights Violations.
